anyone used indoor chandelier outdoors?

We have a covered patio area (more like an outdoor living room) with a domed roof (actually a groin arch). I have been searching for the just the right spectacular chandelier or pendant to put there, but cannot find one that is outdoor rated.

I found one I love: Gramercy by Curry and Company:

The person I am working with at a lighting store locally keeps discouraging me to use this outdoors, as we live near the coast and the wiring could be exposed to mointure and short out rather quickly. What do you think? Anyone done this? Any suggestions for alternatives?
